Krystal’s favorite thing in the whole world is watching a person go from a place of painful self-disconnection and self-doubt heal into a self-aware, confident, and empowered person. When you know, love, and trust yourself though every aspect of your life becomes more peaceful and joyful. This is an amazing thing to experience and Krystal wants this for you. It truly is a profound celebration for her when a client graduates from working with her because they now love themselves and have a life filled with healthy relationships.
During Krystal’s 11 years as a therapist, she developed a system that effectively guides someone to recovery. This system is featured in her bestselling book, The Codependency Recovery Plan: A 5-Step Guide to Accept, Understand, and Break Free from the Codependent Cycle. Codependency recovery allows you to have healthy relationships with everyone in your life including yourself.
We understand the term “codependency” is often confusing. Krystal noticed a theme though in everyone that she helped recover from codependency: the belief that “I’m not enough” and/or “I’m not doing enough.” But because they don’t believe they’re enough, no matter what they accomplish or how many people tell them they’re awesome, it’s never enough. The target is always moving.
Common catalysts for recovery are a recent break-up or divorce; contemplating leaving a relationship; or ongoing anger/resentment towards the people in your life including your family of origin. People also get to the point where they are exhausted from second-guessing themselves all the time.
